How do I sign up to work for you?

You may click here to apply online or here to submit your resume. You may also apply through any of our ads posted on various job boards.  If your experience matches what our clients are seeking you will be contacted by a recruiter (typically within 3 business days).


I’ve completed the online application, what’s next?

Your information will be reviewed by our recruiters and applicants whose experience matches our current client needs will be contacted. If your experience does not meet our current needs it will be retained and you may be contacted in the future when we do have a job that matches your experience.


What’s the difference between temp and contract-to-hire?

Temp is short for temporary. This means that the assignment is scheduled to last for a limited period of time and at the onset the client did not budget it to become a permanent position. Contract-to-hire means that when the client has expressed an interest in hiring someone permanently in the position but it will begin as a temporary position. Think of contract-to-hire as a working interview. You get the chance to check out the position, environment, and corporate culture while the client checks out your skills, flexibility, and personality.


Do you hire recent grads?

Some of our clients specifically seek recent grads while others don’t. We hire based on the current needs of our clients.


Who pays me, Lakeshore or the client company?

While on a temporary or contract-to-hire position you are paid weekly by Lakeshore.


Do I have to pay a fee for your services?

No, Lakeshore does not charge fees to candidates.


l applied to one of your ads but have not heard back, how do I follow up?

If your skill set, experience and education meet the needs of our client you will be contacted by a recruiter (typically within 3 business days). Unfortunately, due to the high volume of resumes we receive it is impossible for us to call back each applicant. If you see another job posted that you are qualified for please submit your resume to that job as well.


Do you provide insurance benefits?

Yes, a variety of benefits are available. You can view more details on our benefit offerings here.


What can I expect my salary to be?

Wages will vary based on your previous experience; the clients pay structure, and the demand of the market. Typically, while temping, you will make a little less than you would if you were hired permanently. However, this is not always true depending on the demand for your skill set in a given market.


I’m relocating in a few months; can I interview with one location and have my file transferred?

Yes, you may interview and possibly work in your current city prior to relocating. Once you’ve moved you will need to contact our local office in your new city and request that your file be transferred. You will still need to have an in person meeting with the staff in your new city so that they can learn about you and your requirements before they will be able to assist you in your job search.
